Life is complex — anything but easy to figure out. Sometimes, just when you think you have it by the tail, you feel it spinning out of control once again. Quick, simplistic answers to our deepest questions and needs are attractive, to be sure, but they seldom satisfy.

You need to know that we at River of Life Church do not believe that we have it all figured out. In fact, leery of skin-thin religious platitudes ourselves, we are looking for a more honest way, a more authentic path. Thus, we find ourselves on a journey.

What we have discovered is something wonderful and exciting. Actually, it is not a thing at all, but a person. He is the smartest, most beautiful, deepest, most fascinating, most compelling person who ever walked the earth.

We have also discovered that trying to fix ourselves is fruitless. As we get closer and closer to this astounding person, however, we start to see things begin to get cleaned up and take shape deep inside our lives. We have discovered that He actually loves us just as we are and enjoys — yes, enjoys — this closeness with us that can change our lives and make us joyful journeyers.

The journey toward this wonderful person is alife-long thing. At times, it is not easy, but it is always worthwhile. We need to make this journey with friends because we need support and encouragement along the way — which is really much of what church is about.

We invite you to join us on the journey — not toward a religious group that thinks it has all the answers but toward the only one who truly does. He is an astounding person — the Son of God, in fact. His name is JESUS.
