River of Life Youth Ministry exists to declare Christ to unbelieving
students and their families so that their lives begin to adore the Lord as they are nurtured to mature faiths in a community of believers of all ages who help them to be engaged in a life of service.
Key Points: D.A.N.C.E.
Declare
In Acts, Jesus concludes His ministry on earth by telling the disciples that they would be His witnesses (1:8). Our youth ministry exists to create opportunities and equip students to declare Christ to other students and their families.
Adore
Paul’s words to the Romans is that we should present our “bodies a living and holy sacrifice...to God” (12:1). Our youth ministry desires to see students adore God with their whole lives and is dedicated to demonstrating that a life of worship is doing all we do for God.
Nurture
The writer of Hebrews challenges us to “press on to maturity” (6:1). Our youth ministry strives to offer opportunities to nurture students to mature in their faiths just as they mature in their physical, mental, and emotional selves.
Community
Paul proclaims to the Ephesians that we are “fellow citizens...of God’s household” (2:19). Our youth ministry wants to see students welcomed into the community and is active in connecting them with the entire Church Body.
Engage
James states that as Christians we should “show our faith by our works” (James 2:18). Our youth ministry is passionate about getting students engaged in the work of God by serving people ranging from their parents to people across the world.
